Laura holds a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wollongong. Laura was admitted to practice in February 2008 and since that time has practiced both in NSW and the United Kingdom.

Laura’s primary areas of practice include:

  • Pure economic loss claims;
  • Public liability;
  • Professional negligence;
  • Property damage;
  • Personal injury;
  • General insurance law; and
  • Building and construction matters.

Throughout her career Laura has also gained experience in insolvency, wills and estates and asbestos-related litigation. Laura has extensive advocacy experience and has appeared in all jurisdictions including the NSW Court of Appeal and the Federal Court.  Laura’s skills span from contesting applications to participating in alternative dispute resolution processes. Laura’s clients have included the Commonwealth Government, a large compensation fund, insurers and private individuals.

Laura joined Thompson Cooper in 2014 and since that time has been primarily involved in representing the firm’s insurance industry clients in both litigated and non-litigated matters. Laura is focused on developing strong relationships with the firm’s insurer clients as well as the individual insureds.
